InTager — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 September 2026
InTager suggests captions and hashtags for a photograph you are about to
publish. This page describes exactly what the app sends, what is kept, and for
how long.
What the app sends
- The photograph you choose. When you ask for captions,
the picture is resized on your device and uploaded to our server, which
forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. It is
not stored: once the captions are produced, the image
is discarded.
- A cryptographic fingerprint of the photograph (a SHA-256
hash), together with the language and mood you selected. This is kept so
that asking for the same photograph again is served from our cache
instead of being processed a second time. A fingerprint cannot be turned
back into a picture.
- An anonymous device identifier generated by the app.
There is no account, no sign-in, and no link to your name, email address,
phone number or any social media account.
What we keep
- The fingerprint, language and mood of each request, and the captions and
hashtags produced for it.
- A record of each request against your anonymous device identifier, used
to count your free allowance and the generations you have bought.
- Usage events such as opening the app or copying a result. These carry no
personal information and no content of your photographs or captions.
- Subscription status received from Apple.
What we do not do
- We do not store your photographs.
- We do not ask for, receive, or hold your name, email address, phone
number, contacts, location, or Instagram credentials.
- We do not embed advertising or third-party analytics software in the
app.
- We do not sell or share your data with anyone for advertising.
Who else processes your data
- Anthropic receives the photograph in order to generate
captions and hashtags, under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Apple handles purchases and, when the app
uses DeviceCheck, confirms whether this device has already used its free
allowance. Apple never tells us who you are.
- Railway hosts the service and its database.
Children
InTager is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
information from them.
Your choices
Because there is no account, deleting the app ends the association with your
device identifier. To have the records tied to your device removed from our
database, write to the address below and include the identifier shown in the
app's settings screen.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page
with a new date at the top.
